About this course
Practical knowledge. Usable tools. Greater confidence to support others.
MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT IN THE WORKPLACE AND COMMUNITY – CHCMHS001 & CHCCCS019 is accredited training designed to give participants practical skills and knowledge they can apply in the workplace and community.
Participants will learn how to recognise signs of mental health concerns and crisis situations, communicate appropriately, provide initial support and understand when and how to seek further assistance.
In the workplace, the training also builds awareness around psycho-social risks and helps participants better understand how workplace factors can affect mental health and wellbeing.

Recognise signs that someone may need support
Better understand mental health and wellbeing
Recognise and respond appropriately to crisis situations
Identify and understand psycho-social risks in the workplace
Start supportive conversations with greater confidence
Know when and where to seek additional support
Encourage early intervention and help-seeking
Contribute to safer, healthier and more supportive workplaces and communities
